Kate McGovern's Leaning Tower of Pisa in Philadelphia, PA, USA

Since the age of Cave Drawings, men have draw on walls to express various emotions from love, hate or to inspire others.

Some scientists believed that because cavemen had no written language, they communicated their stories by using pictures. But yet even today, every city has graffiti - While much of it is random words & wanton destruction of property, there has emerged a very creative street art. Many cities have sanctioned & embraced in parts of the city, while other's not sanctioned at all, but quite amusing never the less.

I'm been fortunate enough to see some great examples around the globes and thought it would be fun to explore some of the examples of all kinds of street art out there from all various sources.

Sculpture in the foreground with stars painted on the wall, but once the street lights turn on in the evening the full effect can be seen. (Location Kaunas, Lithuania)

We read about Candy Chang last year with her amazing idea, create a Chalkboard on the side of an abandon building and write the words, "Before I die..." and let people fill in the answer.

Visit Chang's
web site & read her story behind the idea.

Slinkachu
Introducing to his work back in 2008 through a friend who had one of this books.
Slinkachu, the London-based artist who as part of his 'Little People Project' has been abandoning tiny model people on the mean streets of the world since 2006. Documented through photography, these little dramas of hope and tragedy, loneliness and humour somehow get to the heart of what it means to be human; to be alone among millions of other people, all experiencing the particular melancholy and magic of life in the big city.
